Homes Furnishings rings in Christmas with ‘Be A Santa’ Campaign

Homes Furnishings, popular Mumbai-based Furnishings Company, recently launched its Christmas Campaign and touched the hearts of its customers by running a special ‘Be A Santa’ contest on the digital platform.

The popular Furnishings Conglomerate is always working at innovative ways to provide a unique customer experience. Just like its varied products offerings that are synonymous of beauty, sophistication and top class quality, its engagement programmes with its customers is also noteworthy.

The Brand always tries to strengthen its bond with the customers by connecting with them on Facebook along with its myriad of product offerings that are promoted through mix-media integrated platforms.

Festive times are fun times and Homes has found a novel way to reach out to its customers. WaterCommunications, The Creative Agency for Homes Furnishings, has designed the ‘Be A Santa’ campaign.

The idea was to encourage people to play real Santa in the lives of their loved ones and share their thoughts on how would they play their part.  People with best replies would be gratified.

Talking about the campaign, Mr Gurvinder Singh, Managing Director, Homes Furnishings asserted, “The insight into running the Be A Santa contest stemmed from the fact that Santa is an epitome of love and kind gesture. He believes in spreading joy and bringing sunshine by way of gifting his loved ones. Joy begins at home so why not play Santa at home and surprise all those you care? This was the crux of the communication to awaken the Santa in people and make someone’s day. Moreover our Santa’s could explore a world of gifting options through our Homes Furnishings portfolio to make their search for the perfect gift easier.”

Ms Vandana Sethhi, Director Water Communications opines that Christmas is a special time to bond better with loved ones and bonding happens at home. This was a good enough reason to establish a special rapport between Homes Furnishings and its customers. Apart from traditional advertising, it becomes necessary to design special engagement programmes and relate with the target audience. While participants share their thoughts, there would be more engagement and better brand recall for the Homes Furnishings brand. Participants would get a unique platform to share their thoughts and get gratified with goodies for playing a great Santa. We intend to bring in more contests and activities around festivals and gratify the customers for participating in it.
Homes Furnishings stand for the impeccable taste of homes connoisseurs who are passionate about finer things in life, luxury and sophistication that enhance their lifestyle.
And such customers are forever looking for a new range from season to season to complement their personality and their aspirations. With the objective of 'Premium Quality Fabrics at Competitive prices', the Brand enjoys a loyal customer base across the globe.

Do It Yourself - Smarten up your delicate plants differently!

There’s an enchanted quality to this placement of greenery, as if delicate plants are spilling in from the chimney.

How to Do It:-

  • First check to see that your fireplace gets at least a little bit of sun.
  • Then shop the garden center (or your house) for about a dozen low-light plants—ferns and mosses are perfect—and nice-looking terra-cotta pots of different heights and shapes.
  • Use a stump (again, at the garden center) or a stool to elevate one plant.
  • Turn over spare pots to serve as stands for others, creating a sense of organic randomness through varied levels.
  • Place some plants inside the fireplace opening, with others inching out and a few flanking the opening.
  • Matched pairs pull the look together.
  • Leave some blank space, rather than filling every inch.
  • The intricate leaves can be appreciated (and watering is easier) with a little air around them.

You Are Done!

Do It Yourself Tips Pillow with Rosette Clusters!

This design has a vital, dynamic quality, as the three-dimensional effect plays tricks with the eyes. The wonderful texture and depth of color have been created by folding small circles of bright orange cloth (either felt or felted wool) and packing them very tightly together on the base fabric in order to create a structure that seems alive, and screams out to be stroked !

Materials & tools
  • Feather pillow insert, 10 x 18″ (25 x 45cm)
  • For the pillow cover: 23 1/2 x 19″ (57 x 47cm) orange felt or felted woven-wool fabric
  • For the folded rosettes: 20 x 18″ (50 x 45cm) orange felt or felted woven-wool fabric
  • Matching zipper, 18″ (45cm) long — optional
  • Matching sewing thread
  • Basic sewing kit

  • If you wish to make a pillow back with a zipper, cut out three pieces of felt for the pillow cover — one piece measuring 11 x 19″ (27 x 47cm) for the front and two pieces measuring 6 x 19″ (14.5 x 47cm) and 6 1/2 x 19″ (15.5 x 47cm) for the back. If you wish to make a sewn-in pillow back, cut the back panel to the same measurements as the front. To make the rosettes, cut out 60 felt circles with a 3″ (7cm) diameter.
  • Pinch each felt circle in the middle, and fold the sides in to form a rosette. Hand-stitch the base of each folded rosette to hold it together.
  •  Starting at one end of the front pillow panel, hand-stitch the rosettes onto the fabric, stitching neatly and securely through the base of each one.
  • Continue adding rosettes, positioning them very close together to form a dense, wide row of rosettes through the center of the pillow panel. Make sure that the row of rosettes is straight and that there is the same amount of undecorated base fabric on either side of the row.
  • Make up the pillow back and join the front and back following one of the two options below. Insert the pillow form into the finished cover.
